Theatre Festivals in Iran 2018-2019: Call for Entries

The Dramatic Arts Center of Iran (DAC) is pleased to inform you about and invite you to participate in the forthcoming festivals in Iran:

• 13thInternational Street Theater Festival, 1-5 September 2018, Marivan, Kurdistan. Deadline for application is August 1, 2017.www.mariwanfestival.com/default.aspx
• November 2018, 25th International Children and Adolescents Theater Festival, 20th – 26th November 2018, Hamedan.Deadline for application is September 30, 2018.www.festival-children.ir
• 37th Fadjr International Theater Festival, 11-23 February 2019, Tehran, Deadline for application is December 1, 2018. www.fitf.theater.ir

For the assessment of your work and entry to any of these festivals, please fill in the attached application form and provide us with a link or a digital copy of your production. All materials should be sent to the Office of International Affairs in the Dramatic Arts Center of Iran or be submitted via dramatic.artcenter.iran@gmail.com. Due to the traffic of submissions to the Fadjr Theatre Festival, we appreciate if you submit your application well before its deadline. Fadjr Festival is Iran’s main annual theatre event that considers all genres of performance and live theatre. Along with your productions, the DAC and the aforementioned festivals’ administrations welcome theatre scholars, artists and managers to volunteer as a selection committee for Iranian productions.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• When filling the application form, please indicate in which theatre festival you would like to participate.
• All application documents including the application form must be filled in English. Incomplete applications will not enter the selection process.
• Please send all your materials in one package or one compiled file. Please do not send your files separately.
• Accommodations and funding opportunities will be discussed after a production or a company is selected to be involved in any of the festivals introduced above.
